There are NO restricted foods in Weigh Down - really. The only
restriction you will have is on the volume of food you consume, and
that will depend upon your own body’s hunger and fullness cues. You
will go to the regular grocery store and shop for all the foods you
enjoy, paying no attention to fat-gram content, sugar-content, and
calorie-content. Remember, that kind of focus on the food only makes
you want the food more and leads to the inevitable binge at 10-o’clock
that night!
As you follow the Christian principles in Weigh Down and
learn to eat in moderation only when your body is calling for food,
you will find a new freedom to enjoy all your old favorites with no
guilt, no cheating, and no restrictions - other than God’s perfect
boundaries of hunger and fullness. Imagine the ease of feeding your
family again, knowing that everyone can enjoy the same meal instead
of making yourself a special diet menu. If you have children, they
will certainly enjoy the freedom of having real ice cream, regular
peanut butter, and homemade chocolate chip cookies in the house again!
And you will feel so fulfilled by God as you seek Him to fill your
heart and you thank Him for creating wonderful foods to fill your
stomach within His boundaries.
